Affordable Housing

The Section 8 Program or Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program is a federally funded government program worth over 30 billion annually with around 2.3 million families receiving assistance where low income people and families can apply for a Public housing authority issued voucher which can cover a large portion if not all of their monthly rent. The waitlist for these vouchers is years on average. Once a tenant finally receives a voucher they then select a landlord’s property. The landlord will then do their own due diligence on the tenant with background, credit and eviction checks along with landlord references. After a tenant has been screened and accepted. an inspection will follow. After the inspection has been passed the tenant will move in. Once the tenant has moved in the stream of payments will begin flowing from the housing authority.
